The title says it all.

I've been listening to these albums lately:
Magma - Mekanïk Destruktïw Kommandöh(Loving it!)
Brian Eno - Another Green World(Really liking it)
XTC - Skylarking(Really liking it, or at least as much as i can like New Agey 80's music)
The Fall - This Nation's Saving Grace(Meh, can't really get into any Punk music)

Okay, here is some of what I have been favoring of late.

Remy Zero (Kind of nice, I really like the song on Garden State, the rest is pretty good too.)
Imperial Teen (Their newest album is really good, low-key pop. I haven't been able to get the rest of their albums, though.)
Keane (Always good.)
The Cranberries (I really like how they meld subtle Irish rythms with modern beats and sounds...or maybe not, I don't really know.)
And selected songs from The Flaming Lips and Daft Punk. I guess I'm taking a break from classic rock for a week or two, though I still listen to a lot here and there, just nothing consistently.

Definitely. I'd like Seasick, What Is Not To Love, and On, if possible.

I also have a dozen songs I need from Limewire at some point, but I can do that whenever.

Ben Folds(I have been listening to him constantly for the past 3 years now though, I did just get a couple of albums of his that I hadn't had. One is an LP Supersunnyspeedygraphic, this is a collection of songs, I think, which he had previously recorded but they never ended up on an album. There are some great songs on there it might be my favorite album of his. The other was an iTunes original album where he recorded a new version of some of his songs and then talks about different things in between tracks, really interesting to see the true meaning and background behind some of his songs, like one of his songs "Late" is actually about Elliott Smith dieing, but the album isn't really great to listen to multiple times.)

Bob Dylan(Recently got into him and haven't been able to stop listening to him.)

Aqualung(Really good soft stuff, sound vaguely similar to Arcade Fire.)

The Fugees(This is the group with Wy Clef and Lauren Hill, great sounding R&B/Hip Hop. The Score is one of my favorite albums of all time.)

Jurassic 5(Great rap group, they don't sound anything like the shit on MTV or anything, more reminiscent to Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5, that good classic Hip Hop sound.)

A Tribe Called Quest(Another fantastic rap group, all these guys can "spit hot fire" as Dylan might say[Chappelle's Show reference Laughing].)

Moby(Only like five of his songs though, and I recently chose his song "Honey" for my Halo montage so I've been listening to it alot.)

Then other things that I always listen to like CAKE, Jack Johnson, The Flaming Lips, The Shins, Wu Tang Clan, Gorillaz, Radiohead and other things like that.

Some more albums i've listened to lately:

Nico - Desertshore(Really Loved it, don't know how to describe what it's like. Lots of Organ and songs with very minimal intrumentation)

Grizzly Bear - Yellow House(Adore it, becoming one of my favorite albums. Very atmospheric and haunting, lots of Banjo which surprisingly dosen't sound goofy)

Panda Bear - Young Prayer(Really liking it....i think, its really so different that i can't tell if i really like it or not. About as strange an album as you can get out of tracks consisting of just vocals and acoustic guitar without it sounding like a complete mess.)

The Mars Volta - De-Loused in the Comatorium(Liking it. A little too heavy for me though and kind of self-indulgent.)

Cat Power - Moon Pix(Liking it, kind of boring though.)

Archaia - Archaia(Not liking it, boring.)

Faust - Faust(Not liking it, dosen't sound like music.)

Nobody seems to like the music I like nut I'll tell you all anyway.

Another Cup-Yusuf (formerly known as Cat Stevens). I like most of the songs on it, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite music. I want to get some more albums of his before he became a Muslim, but the only one I have is some of his really early stuff that isn't all that great either.

I would continue but I Mom just finished making breakfast. Snowday!!!

Comus - First Utterance(Adore it, really just a perfect album for me. If you get into really specific genres Prog-Folk is probably my favorite, which this album is.)

Animal Collective - Spirit They're Gone, Spirit They've Vanished(I thought that Radiohead would be my favorite band for a long time but Animal Collective has overtaken them and i've only heard two of they're albums so far but they were both so damn fantastic i know these guys are my favorite band. This album is much more naive and almost childish in a way than Strawberry Jam is. One of the most emotianally charged albums i've ever heard. Freaking love it)

Angel'In Heavy Syrup - I(Really liking it, kind of repetetive but makes for good backround music. Kind of an uneven album for me though, i love half the tracks and dislike the other half)

Benoit Pioulard - Precis(Liking it. I heard this was allot like Grizzly Bear which i love so i thought i'd check it out. It is a hell of allot like Grizzly Bear but for some reason i don't like it all that much, i really don't know why either. Perhaps i was just jaded by the Grizzly Bear album and if i'd heard this first i could've loved it, i don't know.)

Flower Travellin' Band - Satori(Liking it. Kind of too much what i expected though, dosen't really catch my attention that much.)

Acid Mothers Temple - Univers Zen Ou de Zero a Zero(Some good tracks but mostly just pretty boring)

Guster - I've been listening to this band a lot lately and I really like them. They have a nice, fairly energetic but still low-key alternative pop/rock sound that I like a lot.

I just listened to Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips and I enjoyed it quite a bit. It wasn't nearly as weird as I had been led to believe.

Other than that...a bit of acoustic-type Christmas music, some early British Invasion selections, "Driver's Seat" by Sniff'N' the Tears, and the regulars (The Cranberries, The Beatles, Enya, U2, R.E.M., Pink Floyd, Keane.)

Who told you The Flaming Lips were wierd?
This sounds stupid but they're pretty standard alternative.

The Flaming Lips have built their reputation on being weird, so I think it was a justified recommendation.

Still love Guster. Fountains of Wayne put out an awesome album last year too.

Oooh I actually know who those bands are!

I've been listening to Ton Koopman's recordings of Bach vocal works lately. So far I like his recordings of Bach's "Magnificat" and "Johannes Passion" better than anyone else's.

Angel'In Heavy Syrup - IV(Ghouda Cheese)
Black Moth Super Rainbow - Dandelion Gum(Cheddar Cheese)
Explosions in the Sky - Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever(Bree Cheese)

I have been listening to Spoon (Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, Gimme Fiction), Fountains of Wayne (Traffic and Weather), Moby (the best of), Matt Costa (Songs We Sing), and the whole "Stranger than Fiction" soundtrack. Also "New Vibration" by Collective Soul, and "Generator" by The Holloways. Yes, Jay gave me all that music, because he likes it...but it is good! Smile

Prototypes, they are an excellent indie French rock group. I heard one of their songs on a car commercial, I loved it and had to find out what it was.

I just listened to Animal Collective's album "Strawberry Jam", and I absolutely loved it. I loved every song on there, it might be one of my top 5 albums.

Cool Mr. Green Exclamation
That album is insanely catchy after a few listens, really really infectious.
It's probably my third favorite by them, out of like seven albums or so.
If you come to poker later i can give you some of their harder to get stuff, or you could just get their discography on Mininova......

Still listening to Guster, Keane, Collective Soul, R.E.M., The Shins. Lately a bit more of some other bands too, such as The Verve, Red Hot Chili Peppers, David Gray, Radiohead, Flaming Lips, Spoon, Presidents of the USA. The other day I realized I hadn't actually heard most of the albums by Coldplay, so I listened to their entire discography and ended up liking them much more than I had before.

R.E.M.'s new album (Accellerate) came out recently (yesterday, officially.) I'm a bit disappointed in it overall, though a couple songs are good. I was hoping for more catchy songs, but some of them are kind of unpleasant to listen too. Still a good addition to the library, though.
